Orrin B. MacMurray
Orrin B. MacMurray, P.E., is president and CEO of the C&S Companies. He joined the organization in 1972, after serving as an officer in the United States Corps of Engineers and participating in active-duty tours at Fort Drum, New York, and in Vietnam. A career that began as an assistant engineer some 20 years earlier, and included his first professional license in 1978 (now licensed in 24 states), progressed to where MacMurray was elected president of C&S Engineers, Inc., in 1994. Since becoming president, MacMurray has led the effort toward diversifying the company.
MacMurray has held numerous positions outside of business. He has been an active member of his town planning board for over 20 years, having held the position of chairman for 14 of those years. He serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Hiawatha Seaway Council, Inc. of the Boy Scouts of America and is on the Advisory Board for Syracuse University's School of Engineering. MacMurray is an active member of the Manufacturers Association of Central New York and Presidents Council at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He is on the advisory board for the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University and is a guest lecturer. MacMurray is also active in the National Society of Professional Engineers having received the 1997 Engineer of the Year Award for Central New York. He is active in the Water Environment Federation, American Water Works Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, American Society of Military Engineers, and other professional bodies. He is a member of the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce Government Relations Committee, a member of the Central New York Metropolitan Development Association, past president of American Council of Engineering Companies-New York, and past vice chairman of the American Council of Engineering Companies, Inc., board member of Upstate Medical University Foundation in Syracuse and The New York Indoor Environmental Quality Center, a Trustee of WCNY Public Television, and a member of the Onondaga Community College Capitol Campaign Committee.
MacMurray is currently the chairman for the American Council of Engineering Companies for 2007-2008. He will serve in this role for one year, implementing plans and programs that he developed in his previous role as chair-elect. As chairman, he will represent the U.S. engineering industry internationally and nationally, interacting with and educating members of Congress, private industry, and the public sector about the essential role of consulting engineering firms in keeping our nation's infrastructure safe, sound, and functional.
Ronald L. Peckham
Ronald L. Peckham, P.E., executive vice president, has been with C&S for 20 years and oversees corporate planning, business development, marketing, and leadership development for all C&S Companies.
During his career, Peckham's responsibilities have included planning, engineering, project management, and construction management projects with a construction value more than $300 million. This work has involved infrastructure, transportation, facilities, forensic, and other civil engineering assignments. Under his leadership, C&S has consistently expanded its geographic service area and now serves clients nationwide.
In addition, Peckham has been actively involved in new business development since 1981. He has served as the firm's marketing director, principal-in-charge of marketing, and presently is responsible for visioning and implementing the firm's e-business strategy and positioning the C&S companies for growth through improvement in existing practices and development of new products and services. Peckham also provides leadership for the C&S Companies' five-year strategic plan.
Peckham is very involved with a number of community organizations. He serves as a member of the board of directors of the Rescue Mission, the American Heart Association Corporate Support Committee, and is a Young Life Committee member. He is an adjunct faculty member for the Advanced Management Institute, a national leadership training organization, a member of the Airport Consultants Council Training Institute committee, and a former member of Clarkson University Engineering Advisory Board.
He has a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from Clarkson University and is a professional engineer in sixteen states.
Del B. Dausman
Del B. Dausman, P.E., senior vice president, has been with C&S for 14 years and is responsible for the firm's Facilities and Environmental services groups and serves as chairman of the board for C&S Design Build. Dausman is responsible for the technical, business development, and financial performance of these groups and corporately his involvement includes principal-in-charge of finance. He has 30 years of experience in consulting engineering and contracting for a variety of projects and clients for federal, educational, municipal and industrial facilities.
Dausman earned a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Kansas. He is a graduate of the Senior Executives Institute, a leadership course sponsored by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). Dausman is a registered professional engineer in New York, Kansas, Michigan, California, and Ohio.
Dausman is a state director for the New York American Consulting Engineering Council, past ACEC Central Region president, is a member of the Scholarship Committee and chairs the Energy Committee and DASNY committee as well. In addition, he is a member of the American Society of Military Engineers and the Association of Energy Engineers. He is a member and past president of the Central New York Naval Academy Parents Association. Dausman is a member of FM Young Life, serving as Committee Chairman for 5 years. He is currently Chairman of Young Life's Urban Board that helps meet particular needs of inner city high school students, offering opportunities to begin a new life, attend college and prepare for a career.
John D. Trimble
John D. Trimble, P.E., is senior vice president and chief operating officer of C&S Engineers, Inc. In this role, he is second in command of the firm and responsible for overseeing all of the company's technical projects and technical staff. He also executes the strategic and tactical operational plans for C&S, leads in optimizing business functions, and continues to diversify and grow the business nationally.
Trimble has been with C&S for more than 15 years. He has also served as C&S's vice president overseeing facilities design services. Prior to that role, Trimble managed the industrial facilities design group, worked as a general manager for C&S Design Build (the construction management affiliate company of C&S Engineers), project/operations manager for C&S Technical Resources (the construction affiliate company of C&S Engineers) and design engineer in the transportation design group.
Trimble earned a degree in civil/structural engineering from Clarkson University and is a licensed professional engineer in three states.
