Fire Protection Engineer

Candidate to work closely with designer to complete fire sprinkler design, fire alarm design, life safety building evaluations, cost estimating, report preparation, fire alarm design review, fire sprinkler design review, special hazard fire suppression, and detection design.
Required Skills
Self motivated, detail oriented, confident, accountable individual, with excellent computer skills. Applicant must have familiarity with New York State Building and Fire Code, National Fore Protection Associations Codes and Standards, International Building Code and International Fire Code, Building Construction, and Hazardous Materials Standards.
Knowledge related to fire modeling, sprinkler calculation programs, AutoCAD and 3D design, performance based design, fire fighting operations, and fire protection hazard assessment.
Minimum Education & Experience Required
BS in Fire Protection Engineer or Equivalent from an Accredited Engineering Institution
At least 1 year experience with Fire Protection Design. Prior project experience with fire sprinkler and fire alarm design. Engineer in Training certification
