Transportation Planner
Rochester, NY; Syracuse, NY
Contribute to a wide range of transportation projects including: multimodal transportation plans, campus master plans, transportation and land use studies, traffic engineering analyses, parking studies and simulation modeling.
Conduct research, analyze and present findings.
Opportunities exist for the right candidate to become actively engaged in business development activities.
Familiarity with traffic counting and traffic analysis software (Trafficware Synchro) is desirable; knowledge of VISSIM, TransCAD, VISUM and ESRI software is an additional plus.
Excellent analytical and communication skills, including ability to make public presentations.
5+ years in transportation planning
MS degree in regional/urban planning or BS in civil engineering with experience in traffic engineering and a strong interest in the complementary field of transportation planning.
Certifications are a plus (PE, AICP, PTOE or PTP)
