C&S was the construction manager for thenew $28 million, 130,000-square-foot multi-sport field house and a new $9 million, 41,000-square-foot ice arena at SUNY Canton. The multi-sport field house is a special event buildingĀ used for track, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, tennis, swimming, and numerous other intramural sports. The event level is a clear span construction and is programmed to meet New York State LEED Silver qualifications for sustainable design and construction. The event seating capacity is 633 persons with maximum attendance capacity of 1,000 people. The ice arena contains a NCAA regulation ice rink along with support facilities and a second floor mechanical and storage mezzanine. The field house project consists of a two phase construction plan; the initial phase includes the foundation and steel package and the second phase includes the shell and fit-out package. The shell fit-out package includes a fitness center, lap pool, offices, and locker rooms. In addition to the fit-out phase, there are extensive site infrastructure and landscape improvements.
