Basile Joins C&S as New Associate Airport Group Manager

Tony BasileThe C&S Companies are proud to welcome Anthony Basile as the firm’s new associate airport group manager. Basile, a retired colonel for the U.S. Air Force, brings more than 30 years of experience in operational and executive USAF military affairs. His responsibilities at C&S include managing airport engineering and construction projects, overseeing day-to-day department operations, and client relationship management. Basile has an extensive background in military mission leadership and flight support at the USAF 174th Fighter Wing at Hancock Field in Syracuse, NY. Basile served on active duty for the USAF for more than 30 years. Before joining the C&S team, Basile was the New York Air National Guard chief of staff for the Division of Military and Naval Affairs where he aided the success of several missions. Basile also supervised five flying wings and an Air Defense Sector of 6,000 airmen, 75 aircraft and nine facilities with $5 billion in resources and $450 million in annual budgets. He also served as the air commander and the CEO of the 1,500-person crew of the 174th FW and its associated organizations between May of 2003 and May of 2008. Basile ensured the formulation, presentation, justification and execution of an allocated $70 million budget involving several major force elements and state funds. He was also responsible for accomplishment of the unit mission flying training program. During his military service, Basile acquired extensive knowledge in defense support of civil authorities, operational risk management and air and space operations. Basile has served on the National Science Foundation - Polar Executive Management Board since 2008 and has served on the Leadership Greater Syracuse Board of Directors in the past. Some of Basile’s career achievements include winning the Legion of Merit in 2010 and 2008, the General I. G. Brown Air National Guard Command Excellence Award in 2005, the Meritorious Service Medal in 2003, the Distinguished Flying Cross in 1991, and several awards for his leadership in successful combat missions. Basile has a master’s degree in human resources management from Chapman University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from Fordham University.
