C&S Donations More Than $15,000 to Food Banks Nationwide
The C&S Companies recently donated more than $15,000 to food banks nationwide. These donations represent C&S’s dedication to the people and communities we serve. For the past three years, the firm has chosen charitable giving in lieu of sending holiday cards or gifts to clients. “At C&S one of our core values has always been giving back to our communities. In that spirit, we established a holiday tradition of helping those in need during the holiday season,” says Peckham.
The C&S Companies donated $5,000 to the Food Bank of Central New York in a check presentation at the firm’s headquarters on Friday, November 20. Tom Slater, executive director of the Food Bank of Central New York, accepted the check from C&S president Ron Peckham. Additionally, employees held a food drive in the weeks prior to the presentation, bringing in more than 100 pounds of food items that were donated to the Food Bank as well. According to Slater, the $5,000 donation from C&S will enable the Food Bank to feed thousands of local families. Slater compared it to “filling the [Syracuse] War Memorial to capacity and providing healthy and nutritious meals to each and every person.”
In addition to the $5,000 donation to the Food Bank of CNY, C&S donated more than $10,000 to food banks in cities across the country where the firm has offices:
