Schalmo and Fabregat Join Growing National Land Use and Market Strategies Practice

C&S is proud to announce the continued growth of our national land use and market strategies practice.
Barbara Schalmo joins C&S as a senior research analyst in C&S's expanding real estate and land use practice area. She will lead a variety of commercial office, retail, industrial and hotel market analyses and needs assessments in the aviation, healthcare, and other markets. Barbara is experienced in market analysis and strategic real estate asset positioning for aviation and healthcare clients; redevelopment initiatives and CRA analysis and support activities; economic development planning; intermodal transportation and commercial corridor assessments; comprehensive and master planning support; policy and program research and analysis; innovative project delivery tools and techniques for client needs; and demographics research and socio-economic trends analysis. Her expertise also includes the areas of institutional real estate strategy, community planning and redevelopment efforts, affordable housing, and economic development and analysis. Barbara's project experience includes work for Lee County Port Authority, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, City of Minneapolis, Daytona Beach International Airport, Orlando Health, and many other public and private clients. Barbara holds a master's degree in city and regional planning from the University of North Carolina. She is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners, a member of the Florida Redevelopment Association, the Orlando Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women, the American Planning Association, and the Florida Airports Council.
Monica Fabregat is joining C&S's national land use and market strategies practice through her new position as market research assistant. She will be involved in data collection, market analytics, industry and policy research, benchmarking, report formulation and recommendations. Since joining C&S in 2006, Monica has supported C&S's growth in providing engineering and construction services for the aviation, education, and private development sectors. She has assisted clients with planning for new capital development by providing grants administration and funding assistance. Monica holds a bachelor of arts from the University of Central Florida in organizational and interpersonal communication.
