Just a couple days till the frenzy begins. I can’t say I’m surprised by all the speculation going on as to the location of the build site. Everyone wants in on a secret, and it’s kind of fun to play the guessing game and offer up various theories.
That said, have you seen any of the posts on www.syracuse.com and some of the media sites? Wow! Even if you are outside the CNY area, you might want to check some of that stuff out. I can’t count how many people “know for a fact” or “have a friend who knows for sure” about the chosen family and location. Most of them are dead wrong, but the air of certainty is downright amusing! What’s not so amusing is some of the negativity and cynicism that pops up. Again, maybe not surprising either.
It’s clear that there are several deserving families from the region—let alone across the country—that have applied for the program. It’s too bad that only a select few can make it. At the end of the day, it’s a television show, and the producers are looking for diverse and compelling stories. Think of it this way: good stories = good ratings = more seasons = more people helped.
On this end, the C&S team is getting everything in order for a crazy, fast-paced, long-hour, exciting week.
