Construction
C&S offers construction services for a wide range of projects to all types of municipalities, developers, and contractors. C&S construction professionals provide administration and inspection on approximately $60 million of transportation projects annually. Projects range from major highway rehabilitations to bridge replacements to permit work for developers. The C&S construction staff is intimately familiar with the locally administered federal aid (LAFA) process, inspecting more than 15 projects since the program's inception. C&S's construction staff conducts detailed inspections of work elements, documents, and prepares pay estimates. The group also is actively involved in community outreach programs for each project. C&S has emergency response capabilities, deploying staff to areas where natural disasters have taken place for damage assessment and inspection of the repairs. C&S has an integral role in improving processes with active members on both the AGC-DOT Technical Specifications Committee and the ASCE Construction Institute Constructability Committee. All members of the construction services group have received the required OSHA 10-hour training certificate to work on construction sites.
In addition to administration and inspection, C&S's construction services group acts as an extension for construction companies, providing detailed estimates, designs for temporary structures, on-site project engineering, and CPM scheduling.
