SUNY Canton Convocation, Athletic, and Recreation Center

C&S was the construction manager for a new LEED Silver $31.5 million, 130,000-square-foot multi-sport field house and $9 million, 41,000-square-foot ice arena at SUNY Canton. The multi-sport field house is a special event building used for track, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, tennis, swimming, and other intramural sports. The event space seats 633 people with maximum attendance capacity of 1,000 people. The ice arena has a NCAA regulation ice rink along with support facilities and a second floor mechanical and storage mezzanine. The field house was built in two phases; the initial phase included the foundation and steel and the second phase included shell and fit-out. The shell fit-out included a fitness center, lap pool, offices, and locker rooms. There were also extensive site infrastructure and landscape improvements. Upon completion, C&S provided a three-month guarantee and commissioning period.
