CiTi BOCES Renovations and Additions
C&S was the construction manager for the $35.4 million capital improvement project at CiTi (Center for Instruction Technology & Innovation) BOCES. The capital improvement project renovated 10 buildings and removed 11 single-story classroom units. Student space was consolidated into 140,000 square feet in two centrally located buildings. The original schedule was projected to take approximately 2 years, but C&S completed it in just over 21 months. The project had 25 separate phases to allow students and staff to remain inside the building during construction. Two additions were built—a new full-size gymnasium that seats up to 600, and a front entrance. Renovations included complete demolition and asbestos abatement of all interior construction. Renovations included a new centralized server room, new HVAC system, fire suppression system, addressable fire alarm system, access control system and video surveillance.
