Roswell Park Cancer Cell Center Laboratory
C&S designed laboratory renovations on three floors of the Extramural Research Center Immunotherapy program at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. We assisted with space programming, life safety evaluations, ADA accessibility, new room finishes, and lab casework. Existing cold rooms were refurbished. A new fire alarm system integrates into the building-wide system and wet-pipe fire suppression sprinklers connect to an existing Class III standpipe system. A new air handling system includes pumps, fans, heat exchangers, and ductwork routing. New temperature controls and fume hoods were added. Plumbing systems include natural gas drops, dioninized water, new sinks, compressed air outlets, lab vacuum outlets, eye wash stations, and emergency showers. The existing distribution system was reused and the branch circuiting reconfigured to accommodate the power and lighting. New cameras and a door access control system integrate into the new spaces, and tie into the building-wide system. Wireless and data drops in the offices were included. Data closets and a new freezer alarm system were added.
