Embracing Diversity and Inclusion in Our Contracting Approach

It is Day 3 of Construction Inclusion Week and todays focus is Supplier Diversity.

At C&S, our commitment to diversity and inclusion in contracting goes beyond just meeting requirements – it’s ingrained in our core philosophy. We believe in fostering value creation, promoting inclusion, prioritizing client-centricity, and nurturing mutually beneficial relationships across all our projects.

We consistently aim to surpass participation goals on projects nationwide, demonstrating our dedication to inclusivity. In 2022, our efforts were recognized as we proudly received the Central New York Dream Summit Architectural Firm of the Year Award.

In 2019 we appointed a dedicated Supplier Diversity Manager, Kai Marion, who collaborates closely with our technical team. Together, they identify and cultivate relationships with a diverse range of firms. We leverage their expertise to ensure meaningful participation on our projects, track compliance, and provide transparent reporting.

We’re not just embracing diversity; we’re making it an integral part of everything we do. Always learning and growing. Together, we’re creating a better, more inclusive future.

Recently Tim Andersen, President of C&S Technical Resources, sat down with Shawni Davis, President & CEO of Luminary Electric, to discuss the importance of relationships and partnerships. Together, we’re creating a better, more inclusive future.
