Maple Road and North Bailey Avenue Intersection Reconfiguration

About the Project

The Town of Amherst is progressing the intersection reconfiguration of Maple Road (CR 192) and North Bailey Avenue. The purpose of this project is to implement geometric and operational improvements at this intersection. These improvements are aimed at reducing transportation related emissions and alleviating traffic congestion.

The project proposes:

  • Addition of a left turn lane for southbound motorists on N. Bailey Avenue.
  • Convert the right turn only lane to a shared through and right turn lane for northbound and southbound motorists on North Bailey Avenue.
  • Northbound and southbound movements through the intersection along N. Bailey Avenue will have two through lanes.
  • Convert the through lane to right turn only lane for westbound Maple Road.
