Project

Terminal Improvements

The $9.7 million interior terminal amenities renovation and modernization project at Albany International Airport sought to reflect the excitement, diversity, and power of creativity that exists in the city and the region the airport serves. Through the planning, design, and construction administration of this project, the C&S team fashioned an environment that recognizes the needs of today’s air traveler, while creating positive passenger experiences of sight, improved wayfinding, and modern architectural elements.

The new design aesthetic provides a more dynamic space and modern travel experience for passengers including terrazzo flooring that makes the movement of passengers and baggage smoother; a new decorative wood ceiling providing a sense of direction to follow; modern restrooms that address issues with previous system performance; improved public concession and business spaces that increase passenger comfort, connectivity, and productivity; and a new package to improve wayfinding at the airport.
