C&S was selected as the prime consultant for Work Order Planning Services for King County International Airport-Boeing Field (KCIA).

C&S is currently preparing documentation to obtain a determination of Categorical Exclusion (CATEX) for the Proposed Loop Building Demolition Project at the Airport. The CATEX will support the demolition of the Loop Building in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969. C&S and its subconsultants will also conduct necessary research and analysis to prepare a draft and final National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) Evaluation report and a Section 106 form to determine historical preservation eligibility of the Loop Building.

To date, C&S and our subconsultants have provided comprehensive engagement support for the non-standard runway-to-taxiway centerline condition project at the airport. This project has involved proactive and collaborative efforts to ensure that the needs, concerns, and insights of all stakeholders are heard and addressed. Key elements of this engagement process include coordination with tenants, community members, and Airport staff through a thorough project equity impact review, aimed at understanding and mitigating any potential disproportionate effects on specific groups.

Tenant and community engagement have been critical factors in advancing this project successfully. Tenant buy-in has been prioritized through regular meetings, open dialogues, and transparent project updates, allowing for a clear understanding of operational needs, safety concerns, and long-term impacts. Similarly, community meetings have fostered trust and transparency, enabling residents and local groups to voice their perspectives on potential impacts, including noise, traffic, and environmental considerations.
