C&S Celebrates Completion of Grippen Community Park Recreational Building

C&S is proud to celebrate the grand re-opening of Broome County’s Grippen Community Park — a vibrant, flexible, and inclusive recreation space designed for visitors of all ages and abilities.

Once heavily damaged in the 2006 and 2011 floods and left underutilized for years, Grippen Park has been reimagined into a resilient hub for the community. This project transforms an existing open-air venue into a state-of-theart, multipurpose facility to serve the diverse needs of the community. With a focus on versatility and accessibility, the renovated space will accommodate various events, from concerts and festivals to sports activities and community gatherings.
Since 2022, our architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical teams have worked alongside the Broome County Parks Department to enhance the functionality of the underutilized public facility.
Built with flood-resistant design and a focus on flexibility, this new space will be a centerpiece for the Village of Endicott and Broome County Parks for decades to come.
Broome County Executive Jason Garnar said, “Bringing Grippen Community Park back to life is a proud achievement for Broome County. Thanks to the dedication of our partners and community, we’ve transformed this space into a vibrant, year-round gathering place that will benefit families and neighbors for generations to come.”
Additional information on the facility and the grand opening can be found on the Broome County website.
